Private Membership

Your independent adviser for technology, data and AI decisions.

A personal advisory relationship for executives and small leadership groups who want someone to call before an important commitment.

Private Executive Membership

One executive. One independent adviser.

Bring EXCO 8 a supplier proposal, AI question, reporting problem, system decision, business case or simply something that does not quite add up. Better still, involve your adviser before the options have narrowed: early context makes future advice faster, more useful and better connected to the way your organisation actually makes decisions.

Your adviser investigates, challenges and explains—while building familiarity with your business and the context behind your decisions.

Three-month rolling membership. Membership is billed monthly in advance. There is no onboarding fee. Membership numbers are deliberately limited.

Organisational Membership

Broader access when the organisation requires it.

EXCO 8 also supports larger leadership teams where access is required across five or more senior executives.

Organisational memberships are structured around the requirements of the leadership group and operate on a 12-month engagement.

Available for teams of 5, 10 and 15 executives. Detailed arrangements are discussed privately.

The service standard

Designed to be easy to use.

You should not need to manage your adviser. Send the question, proposal or concern and EXCO 8 will establish what matters, research what is missing and come back with a clear view.

Response

Prompt acknowledgement.

Membership requests are normally acknowledged within four business hours. Straightforward advisory matters are normally addressed within one business day. Where proper research requires longer, we will tell you what to expect rather than compromise the quality of the answer.

Assessment

Minimum questions.

We first extract as much context as possible from the information supplied, research independently, and only come back with the questions genuinely needed.

Opinion

Evidence before theatre.

Where practical, you receive a concise evidence-based view by email, together with sensible next steps rather than a presentation for presentation's sake.

Follow-through

Challenge the supplier.

Next steps can include reviewing a demonstration, preparing technical questions or helping you challenge the proposal directly.

Membership mechanics

Clear boundaries. Flexible when it matters.

Advisory capacity

Unused monthly advisory hours do not ordinarily roll over. Where a known future project will require additional capacity, time may be brought forward or reserved by prior agreement.

Additional time

Additional advisory capacity can be arranged at £275 per hour, subject to availability.

Document reviews

One document review covers one file of up to 20 pages. Separate files are separate reviews. A further review of the same file after amendment or resubmission counts as a new review.

Calls

Telephone consultations are arranged in advance. Higher-level private arrangements may include a dedicated contact number for genuinely urgent matters.

Normal service hours

Normal service hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00 UK time, excluding UK public holidays. Urgent out-of-hours attention may be available by prior arrangement for higher-level memberships.

On-site counsel

When being there matters.

Included UK site visits cover locations on the UK mainland that can be reached using normal publicly accessible road transport.

Journeys requiring specialist transport, ferries, flights or travel away from the UK mainland may incur additional travel costs, agreed in advance.

How advice is delivered

The output should fit the question.

Most matters do not need a consultancy deck. EXCO 8 favours concise, professional and conversational advice: a clear email, an arranged call, direct supplier questions or participation in a meeting when that is the most useful format.

Work is normally closed with a concise summary of what was considered, the work undertaken, the view reached and any recommended next actions. Formal branded reports can be produced where the significance of the decision justifies them.

Purpose-led organisations

Preferential pricing for UK registered charities.

EXCO 8 wants independent technology counsel to be accessible to organisations creating positive social and environmental outcomes. Eligible UK registered charities, qualifying education organisations and emergency services can request a 15% concession against published membership rates.

Eligibility and the applicable concession are confirmed during the membership conversation.

Your adviser

One relationship, backed by broader experience.

From the first genuine conversation, communication is personal—for example, Simon @ EXCO 8, not an anonymous consultancy desk. Each membership has a dedicated adviser who owns the relationship and builds familiarity with your organisation. Where another EXCO 8 adviser has relevant specialist experience, they may contribute without turning the relationship into a consultancy queue.

EXCO 8's developing adviser capability includes deep data and systems experience alongside enterprise financial-reporting expertise.

Conflicts & exclusivity

Confidential by default. Exclusive by arrangement.

EXCO 8 may advise organisations operating in the same market, with each relationship treated independently and confidentially.

Where a client requires category or competitor exclusivity, an exclusive arrangement may be agreed at 2× the applicable membership rate, plus a £2,995 arrangement fee, subject to scope, availability and an agreed definition of the protected market.

Limited availability

Personal by design.

EXCO 8 is not a consultancy queue. Membership numbers are restricted so that your adviser can understand the context, remain available and provide the level of attention the relationship requires.
